Foodie Event: Karkalla at Spill
Saturday 12 October: From 2.00pm
Join us at Spill Wine for an afternoon that promises to be both delicious and inspiring, as part of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Writers Festival. We’re excited to host the talented Mindy Woods—chef, restaurateur, and author—as she talks about her new cookbook and the native Australian ingredients that have shaped her culinary journey.
In conversation with fellow MasterChef alum Jamie Fleming, Mindy will dive deep into the importance of native ingredients, how best to use them, and how they’ve guided her career. This isn’t just a talk; it’s an exploration of flavour, culture, and connection.
As you listen, you’ll enjoy a selection of 3 snacks inspired by Mindy’s cookbook. To top it off, we’ll be serving a native-focused cocktail put together by the Spill Wine team and, of course, a glass of wine to perfectly complement the flavours on your plate.
What’s Included:
- Authentic Insights: A down-to-earth conversation about the power of native ingredients in modern cooking.
- Delicious Snacks: Savour 3 snacks inspired by Mindy’s cookbook—because a great discussion is best enjoyed with great food.
- Signature Sips: Enjoy a specially crafted native-focused cocktail and glass of wine from the Spill Wine team (included with your ticket).
This event is more than just a book talk—it’s an experience that celebrates the richness of Australian ingredients and the creative minds behind them.
