Couch Wizard Australian Tour – Sunshine Coast

Friday 16 May Bundjalung mystics Couch Wizard hit the road withSanta Cruz’s Return to Nagoya (USA) for a once in a lifetime sonic quest to bring balance of light and darkness to the far corners of Australia under the steam of new single 'Dwell'. Known for their high-energy, ritual-like live sets, the Wizards take listeners on an eerie, theatrical journey through time and space. Slow, melodic intros give way to crushing riffs, painting mystical scenes of smoky mountains and volcanic fury which has seen them play alongside the likes of Wolfmother, Miniskirt, Dumb Punts and Downgirl and appear at events such as A Bit Grim, Ancient Gates, Psych Lords, Mitchell Creek Festival, Bluesfest and many more. With a sound inspired by the likes of Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Sleep, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Hobo Magic, their spellbinding performances will leave you questioning how an hour could feel like a single song. Santa Cruz California’s Return to Nagoya is a three piece Rock'n'Roll band known for its Kyuss-like riffs and powerful vocals. Fresh out of the studio and travelling to Australia for the first time as a group, RTN will showcase a host of new songs along with popular tracks that have appeared in various Surf docos around the World. Join the tour, ride the wave, pull the trigger and hold onto your butts as the sonic experience of these bands hits you right in the kisser and takes you beyond the barrel, to the depths of the deepest ocean and the centre of the desert that is your soul. If you think you’re ready... think again. This is live music at its most volatile, wild, unhinged and unforgettable. See you in the pit. Tour sponsored by Spangled Drongo Brewery and presented by Beats Cartel.  Local support to be announced. Appearing at The Presynct Friday 16 May 2025 $20+BF GA or $25 on the door 7pm Doors / 18+

Bob Log III: SUNSHINE COAST

Sunday 18 May For over three decades, Chicago's own Bob Log III has brought his blues-inspired guitar playing across the world to rave reviews, dancing and laughter. Bob Log III is an American slide guitar one-man band based in Tucson, Arizona, and Melbourne, Australia. During performances, he plays old Silvertone archtop guitars, wears a full body suit and a helmet wired to a telephone receiver, which allows him to devote his hands and feet to guitar and drums.  His show has been described as a blues punk guitar dance party. Log tours internationally, performing about 150 shows each year throughout North America, Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Taiwan and Iceland and has toured with the likes of  Ween, Franz Ferdinand, The Cramps, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Beck, Sonic Youth, Ani De Franco, Coolio and Cypress Hill, also appearing at such iconic events such as Byron Blues Fest onstage with icon Booker T, Queenscliff Music Festival, Muddy Roots TN, Biel Openair, Festival of the Sun, End of the Road Festival and many, many more, packing out joints for 20 years all over the World. Dressed in a human cannonball suit on stage, Bob Log III and his blues punk guitar bring the party atmosphere to each and every gig. With his feet frantically pounding away on his kick pedals, the open tuning on his wireless guitar, and his voice distorted by the telephone receiver, his act is all about having a good time. Audience participation is of utmost importance through his performances, and he encourages male and female participants to join in the fun by drinking Prosecco from an inflatable boat, stumping on balloons, and sitting on his knees while he plays. "It’s pretty simple. I take a guitar, and I turn it into a party" Bob Log III BOB LOG III Appearing at The Presynct in Nambour on Sunday 18 May with support 5pm doors / $30+BF presale and $35 doors / 18+ Don't miss out on a rare Northern run from Bob!  Limited Capacity
