Jess Spina Quartet
The Jess Spina Quartet features innovative musicians who have developed a special connection over years of playing together. Jess loves to pay tribute to iconic jazz vocalists, including Sarah Vaughan, Harry Connick Jr., Carmen McRae and Mel Torme. Through a carefully crafted mix of well-known standards and original arrangements of lesser known tunes, the quartet guarantees something for every lover of Jazz and, above all else, a wonderful night of swinging music.

Since her firs tperforamnce at the Brisbane Jazz Club when she was 9 years old, Jess Spina has earned a reputation as one of the finfest vocalists in Australia. She has a warm and genuine stage presence that draws audiences in and makes them feel part of every perforamnce. Her refined musciianship is evident in skilled arrangements, and in the freedome of her improvisations. At only 21 years old, Jess placed 3rd in the prestigious National Jazz Awards held at the 2020 Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues, and in 2019, she performed at the Siena International JAzz Festival in Italy. Most recently, Jess was nominated for the 2022, Freedman Fellowship Awards amonst the vanguard of Australian jazz musicians. Jess has cherished working alongside renowned Jazz musicians such as Kristen Berardi James Morrison, Kenny Werner, and Olivia Chindamo, amongst others.
