Author BIO’s
Siang Lu is the author of Ghost Cities and The Whitewash, and the co-creator of The Beige Index. The Whitewash won the ABIA Audiobook of the Year in 2023, and the Glendower Award for an emerging writer at the Queensland Literary Awards. Ghost Cities (UQP 2024) has recently been shortlisted for the 2024 Queensland Literary Awards.
Bill Crozier is Brisbane-based, British-born doctor Bill Crozier has worked as a ship’s doctor in the Arctic and in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care. He developed an interest in high-altitude medicine and physiology and has been the doctor on several mountaineering expeditions. In Beyond the Snow Leopard (Black Ink 2024), he sets out to seek the snow leopard guided by the twentieth-century writers of the Himalayas.
Kári Gíslason teaches creative writing and literary studies at QUT. He is the author of Running with Pirates, an engaging memoir about freedom, adventure, and fathers and sons, set against the backdrop of Corfu. His previous books include The Promise of Iceland (UQP, 2011), The Ash Burner (UQP, 2015) and The Sorrow Stone (UQP, 2022), and Saga Land (HarperCollins, 2017) co-authored with Richard Fidler.
